09 Nov Math Class Updates
Our Springdale math students are progressing and improving daily, adding increasing challenges and skill building across the board. Fifth graders will be completing addition and subtraction sentences by determining missing digits in equations. Sixth graders have advanced to the wonderful world of exponents and square roots. They will be writing multiplication expressions using exponents and evaluating exponential expressions.
Our seventh graders will be comparing values expressed in scientific notation, while our eighth graders will be exploring the Pythagorean Theorem by finding missing leg lengths and calculating perimeter.
In our high school, ninth graders will be evaluating trigonometric ratios: sin, cos, and tan as well as csc, sec and cot. Likewise, our tenth graders will calculate trigonometric ratios in similar right triangles in addition to evaluating trigonometric functions of complementary angles.
