The Upper School program at Springdale Preparatory School offers hands-on college preparatory coursework and experiences that equip our students to be pioneers, challenging themselves and each other, as they develop life skills that prepare them for their roles as the world’s future leaders. Springdale serves a diverse population, welcoming an exchange of ideas and a chance to experience a variety of cultures, preparing students for careers in the ever-changing global marketplace that exists today.
Our challenging curriculum equips students for success in meeting the demands of the world. They are prepared to be engineers, mathematicians, poets, scientists, actors, computer scientists, artisans and more. No matter the career they choose, with a Springdale Preparatory School education, they can tackle the challenges they will face today and in the future.
Students in the Upper School master challenging high school coursework, whether in the SPS Honors Academy or through advanced placement, and all classes are tailored to their individual learning style and needs to ensure success. Our program provides a background in American, British and world literature across genres, generating mastery of language and composition skills. Students will gain competence in world languages as well, with Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish among the offerings.
With the educational emphasis on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), Springdale Preparatory School provides exposure for students in all areas with academic requirements for all grades and levels in each discipline. Our laboratory studies and studio programs offer extensive, hands-on opportunities in finance and mathematics, computer science and database systems, robotics and engineering, biology and environmental engineering, visual arts and performing arts.
At SPS, students learn by experiencing. Our courses include a myriad of opportunities outside the classroom. In addition, upperclassmen have the opportunity for dual enrollment at local partner colleges and to pursue independent study programs and apprenticeships.
The Springdale Preparatory School program produces the complete individual who, upon graduation, is ready to take on a world of opportunities.
